As probably many people out there, I am searching for balance in my life. I love doing sports (rowing, running, cycling—you may have guessed!) but am also struggling against my weaker self (sounds familiar, huh?), especially when times get tough at work.
I am also a passionate anti-diet proponent. Studies show that only about 5% of all people who lose weight keep it off; in the empirical sciences, this is considered an acceptable error margin to prove that diets don’t work. Personally, I think it makes much more sense to get to know yourself and your own needs, regarding exercise, food, sleep, love and affection—all those things that make life worth living.
